I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in both individual and group settings. The root of my approach to counseling is two- fold. First I believe in building authentic relationships with my clients and appreciating their uniqueness. Second, I believe that we are inherently capable of creating positive change in our lives. Despite the difficulty of our circumstances, we have the capacity to learn, make choices, and ultimately realize the change we desire for our lives. My aim is to support my clients in transcending their obstacles as they experience them so they may achieve their goals. In our therapeutic journey, I will support you in bringing awareness to the many factors that influence these obstacles as they exist in the here and now. Through this awareness, clients can choose to create healthier patterns of relating and responding to their feelings, thoughts, and environment.

I draw from various therapeutic approaches in my work including: Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existential Therapy. As a result, my clients can expect me to customize their therapy and integrate various aspects of these approaches to best meet them where they are and invite them to work towards the change they desire. I am consistently warm and compassionate with my clients, will be direct and straightforward, and am quick to use humor as appropriate.

I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. I am also DBT certified. My favorite part about being in the mental health field is witnessing client’s finding empowerment, resiliency, growth, and success.
