She/Her
I provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, and talk therapy for people aged 16-65. I work with clients to understand their mental health concerns and address obstacles to healing, recovery and growth. This process is very collaborative and integrates an individual's priorities, medical history, sleep, nutrition, physical activity, emotional experience, social health, and other relevant aspects of life. I provide information and guidance based on the best available evidence, to optimize benefits and minimize risks of treatment. My approach to care is person-centered, building a therapeutic relationship that facilitates understanding and acceptance of the whole person and exploration of opportunities for personal growth. Depending on a client's needs and priorities, we may decide to integrate psychotherapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, or Motivational Interviewing into our treatment process.
I have been a registered nurse in the mental health field since 2009, assisting adults and youth in outpatient and inpatient settings, with a variety of concerns and diagnoses, including people experiencing mental health crises and persistent psychiatric concerns. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw the increasing need for mental healthcare in our community and decided to deepen my skill-set at Oregon Health and Science University where I completed a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I greatly respect the strengths and resilience of all the individuals and families I've worked with, and enjoy collaborating with clients as they take steps on their paths to greater health and wellbeing.
