As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), my work is grounded in a holistic approach to wellbeing. This means that in addition to considering your medical status, I will also evaluate how emotional, social, and environmental factors may be influencing your current state of health. I work primarily with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and limited therapy. Many of my clients work with an individual therapist and see me for psychiatric medication management. My therapeutic approach is gentle and direct, and is based on the philosophy that “people do well if they can.” My goal through treatment is to help my clients access their own potential for growth and change.

Seeking treatment for yourself or your child can be difficult.  I am committed to working with you to develop a plan that best fits your individual needs. In my work with you, I will meet you where you’re at, and will partner with you to move towards your treatment goals. I know that when individuals and families come to see me at first, they may not feel that they are at their best. That’s OK. I promise to treat you as an individual, to listen carefully and thoughtfully to your needs, and to collaborate with you throughout our work together.

I earned a master’s degree in nursing from Oregon Health & Science University in 2013 and am a board-certified PMHNP licensed in the state of Oregon. I also have a BS in nursing from Oregon Health and Science University. I obtained my undergraduate education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where I majored in psychology, specializing in child psychopathology and clinical psychology.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in both psychiatric inpatient and community mental health settings. I have helped clients with a range of diagnoses, including depression, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, and ADHD.  I believe in "Health at every Size."
