I have been in the health care field since 1990 with over 23 years experience as a registered nurse and currently as a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have enjoyed working with a diverse population throughout my career and have experience and enjoy working with clients across the lifespan. My experience includes hospitalized clients, foster children and their families, and teenagers and young adults experiencing extreme environmental stressors to name a few.

Nursing and especially advanced practice nursing affords me the opportunity to partner with my clients and their families/support system to help them achieve their desired level of mental health. I believe in utilizing a holistic approach, healing the mind, body and spirit that involves acknowledging an individual’s unique physical, mental, social, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs. I have had training in motivational interviewing, collaborative problem solving, and cognitive behavioral therapy among others.

I see clients, ages 13 years to 55 years, for psychiatric evaluations and medication management and limited therapy.
