Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults and adolescents who seek understanding, connection and change through difficult times. Therapy uses a process of building awareness and exploration to instigate action and change. Using practices including dream work, body awareness and mindfulness, I can support you in feeling more connected to the parts of yourself that long for more attention and care. Holistic wellness is an influence in my practice - paying attention to the relationships between mind, body and soul. I strongly value recognizing a person's position within the context of broader systems: family, culture, community, history, ancestry.  As a therapist, I bring empathy and warmth to my work, along with compassionate directness. My therapeutic orientation is Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, Trauma-Informed and Process-Oriented, all of which support the process of reflection and change. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is immensely healing in itself - there is great strength in recognizing you don't need to endure life's challenges alone. With this foundation of support, we may delve into the process of self-inquiry together with curiosity and compassion.  I received a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and Community Mental Health from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have worked with diverse populations of children, adults and adolescents, in schools, private practice and community mental health agencies since 2013. My primary focus is in working with people struggling with depression, stress, anxiety and relationship struggles, as well as people in the LGBTQA+ community. I am also trained and experienced in working with people struggling with personality disorders and psychosis.
