Ashton Tart, MSN, BS

Nationally Board Certified Family Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner I value patient centered care guided by evidence based medicine.  I highly value the opportunity to partner with you in working towards your optimal mental health.  I believe that medication is only one potential aspect of successful healing and recovery, and that long-lasting healing and recovery also involve proper sleep, diet, exercise, and cultivation of healthy relationships.

I attended Vanderbilt University where I became interested in holistic healthcare and studied Medicine, Health, and Society.  I later attended Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where I became first a registered nurse and then a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  I have healthcare experience in both inpatient and outpatient care.  I work with individuals with anxiety and depression disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, and a wide range of other psychiatric conditions. My professional interests include management of psychiatric illness in reproductive aged women, and management of bipolar disorder.

I see adults aged 18 to 65 for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and limited therapy.
